Rocket Lamp

How to Find the Perfect Shade

How much time do you spend watching the shade for your lamp again? Do you really considered if it will go to your house or if it does not look right on the base? Most do not, they go for something they like, but it's totally wrong to go about this. If you have the wrong shade you could make the base look of the finest horror. However, if you have an amazing color that goes perfectly with the base, it will add something chic to your home.

Choosing the right shade does not rocket science, there are just a few things you should consider. The first thing is the height of the shade. You want something that complements the base rather than making it look too heavy or even bottom-heavy. Go for a shade that is about two thirds of the height from the base will help you with this. This means that you can cover all parts of your unsightly lamp.

The next thing to consider is the width of the shade. It should be at least half an inch wider at each point of most of the base. However, before you go and buy something you probably know is greater, you must think of your lamp, which will go. The last thing you want is to see that you now have no place on your bedside table for your book or you constantly hit by reaching the remote for the TV. You want it to stand out because it looks good, not because it is much too large.

Another thing to consider is the shape of the shade and that means you need to consider the style and shape of your base. If you have a chandelier lamp, then you're lucky, you can buy almost any shade. However, if you have a round base you are the best looking shades round and the same applies to other forms of bases. Matching the shape of the base still looks good.

Entry from: Schwerin, Germany
Title Entry: "villages"

Input:

"7/5- 9 / 5
We left behind Hamburg and led to a small town called Schwerin, as recommended by Lonely Planet. A small charming and worth a visit. It is located in an area full of lakes, so many people can not agree on the number. The biggest attraction is to be the castle of Schwerin, more like a place, but no good anyway. It is huge and right on the main lake, very ornate.
After wandering around the local market and eat a bratwurst and currywurst (sausage with curry very tasty!) We watched the small town, and decided on a boat cruise around the lake. It was nice and relaxed to 20 children aged 10 years came on too! We had a beer with lemon, which was nice and refreshing and watched the scenery for an hour or two and trees in the sun.
We decided to drive to La¼beck this afternoon, should continue to go so much to see. We could not find the camper stop there so just camped in a parking lot next to the city center. Had no problems during the night and went exploring the next day. This is another charming old town with lots of green bell out of him.
The old town of its self is not very big, and took a solitary few hours to wander through. Nothing stood out as too unbelievable, but the door of the old city / fortress was rather old and cool, and the old hospital which was one of the first in Europe was rather interesting. The hospital was put in what you might describe as a large hall with a church attached. The interior was a huge cavernous roof, with lots of tiny little pieces of wood. I tell you, you think you have enough room in the halls today, you could install four of the rooms inside one of the rooms on the T15!
We spent the night in a small place called bulk, near the Danish border. The drive was beautiful, through green fields and hills. There are fields of yellow flowers (if anyone knows what they are please let us know) so here are numerous. We saw them in France, but there is much more here, as far as you look at these fields mixture of yellow with green, it is beautiful. As we were near the coast, sometimes it would be a field of sea green, then blue, then yellow, it was a beautiful day to get here.
Camping is fun here, a large number of caravans are permanent, they have good high standard, with fences and pools of shadow and barbecues and drive means ..... he's mad, they masts with flags different at the top. I think they settled in the summer once they are here. It is on a beach and it is quiet nice, but nothing like the beaches at home. Remains cold for swimming, but we are in shorts and t-shirts mostly. Stop in Denmark today. Soon

Is it possible for NASA to build a big spaceship?

I love Star Wars. I still see huge ships like Imperial Star Destroyers, Cruisers Republic, and the invisible hand, then I wonder if it is possible to build spaceships that large. I know that big ships would be too heavy to be built on the Earth so it would have to be built in space but is it possible?

Of course, it is possible, just incredibly difficult.

Currently, it costs about $ 75/lb to put something in space. If we speak of a star destroyer weighing several tons, then we are talking of billions just to get supplies into space. So imagine the cost for transportation, supplies, feed and house the work team to build it. I speak more money, then the entire U.S. budget and national debt combined!

We need to get the cost of space flight down so that we can begin the space industry.

There is a way to build a spaceship of relativity inexpensive; the use of an asteroid. In the year 2029 there is an asteroid on the dirt road that will become so close that it will be subject to some of our satellites. Now, if you can capture this asteroid, then you have tons of iron, nickel and precious metals such as iridium right there in orbit. You may have to shave down the asteroids lot to create a star destroyer, but if you do not mind an ugly looking, you can simply dig the asteroid and attach a drive space for it.

If you build your spaceship on the moon, so it is 1/6th the push to start it. The moon does not have a lot of cheap raw materials that would be helpful, but it would make a good base and is close to a steady supply of power of man (as the nation of India).

If you want to create a Death Star, then you should go fly to Jupiter and its moon Io small. A hollow inner envelope and the use of hot molten core power.

Ideas to create things like you see in Star Wars is there, but the technology is lacking, sorely lacking. We need to create a cheaper way to get something into space. I answered a question a few days ago about why NASA does not use a program plants in space. My basic answer is water. It costs just too much to carry water to the space that all food and air renewal, you can get from plants do not bother to do. Obviously, a long-term basis space is going to need to create a new plant ecology, because the replenishment is just too expensive. Now you know why NASA is looking so carefully (and hoping) to find water on Mars or the Moon. The mere presence of water could be the difference between a sustainable basis and which can be visited for a short time. Of course, if you are looking for water you can just try to catch a comet, they consist of most of the ice. Some of them are very close to the earth. Everything is a hard application and development.

I think that Star Wars technology is thousands of years away from our current technology. But if we really tried hard, then we could create a star destroyer as a ship in only 200 years. It would not be able to go faster than the speed of light (we do not know how) and our rockets are really inefficient, but you would be cool.

It currently costs $ 20 000 to raise one pound into space and the price goes up. The space shuttle is the vehicle for lifting the most expensive ever and that the costs are rising.

Possible for NASA to do if they do in space.

I sincerely hope they do not do it with taxpayer dollars. They screwed up a lot of things in their own way of work and bureaucracy that would be a super-sized project money suck.

Now: no. In the future, hell yes!

It is just not possible, especially because of the costs of such a thing. In addition, humanity has really not much need for such a large ship (yet). However, when we have the technology to finally build a space elevator, it will be much easier and m.

When Battle Damage to Rocket Warrior is 0, Rocket Warrior is not destroyed. What is the very thing Waboku, since all the battle damage was reduced to 0, all the monsters on the side of the controller is not destroyed.

Goodies Football Crazy

Soccer fans wolf, snooze, drink and wake up with football. Football has the demand for the goods time curve of the planet more since each characteristic of the period here is an experience Major League Soccer, somewhere around the planet. Soccer fans the organization are totally fanatical about their club insignia slip and bottom of their clubs financially, in each case likely. Not a moment ago the air and waving a flag painted fans in the stadiums but even the couch potatoes watching the match on television feel really connected with the game and the organization with the goods of football.

Only member of the leading promotion of general merchandise, football is soccer jersey. Whether leaving the pub to watch a football match, by local authorities through a major soccer season or as a game or leaving the stage to join the hordes of other fans, wearing the insignia organization or land with the intention of a fan to the bottom is quite derogatory. It is a symbol of pride for the fans of those whose clubs and countries are more efficient. Even for persons in the levels drop is a symbol of belonging and support their team. Football jerseys look cool and are doing well with other casual wear, as they are all the time so colorful and give a sport for the wearer. The shortage fans to be constantly updated with the latest design sweater and their team jerseys after a makeover. Fans wear jerseys not there a moment for teams, but both players add up to show support for a star player tedious. Gimmicks and constantly keep stirring envy of jerseys for fans - as in World Cup warm of 2010 held in South Africa wherever it was made famous with the intention of the player jerseys to give birth to been made from 100 percent recycled materials can weaken gathers tons of plastic bottles.

And speaking of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, who remember the ultra-popular Vuvuzela? They could give birth to was very loved and hated, but their popularity, so clear in doubt. These loud horns being elongated plastic give birth to been in high demand, even as long as the world cup earned greater than. They give birth to develop into a brand of their own society but simply lonely is the inventor and the holder of the approved vuvuzela, other inventors give birth to the entrance with widgets were linked. The monitoring and Vuvuzelas threaded onto interchangeable sleeves or socks with the intention of the team approach in different badges. Their new thing and the extensive media coverage predetermined for them, makes the same community who are not really football fans, shortage alone.

Goods soccer is so quiet building has so much variety, from the simplicity of the football world turns. The design world black and white makes versatile to fit many articles and their circle of goods at all football fans would love to give birth to. People like to chitchat about football, teams, players and moments. With goods around football acts as a conversation started and gets the community discussion basically the game they love. Demand for goods for any advantage in soccer means.

How to build and launch Bottle Rockets Sky-High!

Find a new use for plastic bottles by bottle rockets! You know how these types of bottle rockets really add fun to your children and perhaps even too much.

If you have a large collection of plastic bottles, you might have thought about building rockets bottle. The only thing is, you do not know how to build a rocket. The results can be spectacular and a great way to use plastic bottles!

You need two plastic bottles of 2 liters, a small plastic cone, tape, scissors, string, clay, a manila folder without pockets, a black garbage bag and a hole-puncher. If you are a child or very awkward, ask an adult to help you.

Cut the top and bottom of a bottle so you're left with a plastic cylinder. This form of the storage compartment or fuselage, for the parachute. Tape the fuselage to the bottom of plastic bottle seconds. Cut 3 triangular flaps from the folder and paste them to the second plastic bottle. The fins should be located closer to the end with the bottle cap.

Cut off the pointed end of the cone to form the nose of your rocket. Stop the opening with a wad of clay. Attach the nose of rocket to the fuselage with the chain attached by a ribbon inside the cone and the fuselage. You can cut the fins to balance the three mini cone on top of the fuselage if necessary.

To make the parachute, cut the closed end of the trash bag. Fold bag in half lengthwise, making sure the edges are matched. Then, along the long axis, fold it in half. Fold this form on the diagonal to form a triangle. Cut off the excess.

On unfolding the bag, you will now have two circles. You will need one. Fold the circle into 16 parts, marking the folds as you go. Strengthen both sides of the folds on the outer edge of the circle with masking tape and holes to punch through the tape. Fold the chute in half again and the string yarn through the holes. Attach the tray to the fuselage with tape. Loosely pack the chute in the fuselage and the cap with the cone.

To launch the rocket, the first half fill with water. He swings on its fins or a platform to launch and add to the pressure in the bottle like a bicycle pump until your Bottle Rocket is launched!

I hate Disneyland - 12 things to hate about the happiest on earth

In honor of the recent acquisition of Marvel by Disney, this is what I currently hate Disneyland. Maybe the hero will make it better.

Back in the day, a visionary named Walt Disney created Disneyland. He did not know what a pain in the ass she has become. While our parents treat us with stories of e-tickets, convoys of mules and admissions of $ 5, we have a more bitter that the park has really turned into.

Starting with Michael Eisner and continuing with the powers that be, this park is not the happiest on earth. It's not even the happiest place on earth of a second. It is now the most expensive on earth. If you decide to hit the pavement with Mickey and Minnie, get ready to lose your wallet, your soul, your sanity.

1. Entrance fee

1955 $ 1

1965 $ 4

1975 to $ 6

1985 $ 16.50

1995 - $ 33

2005 $ 56

2009 - $ 62 (3-9) $ 72 (10 +)

Somehow, the board of directors are wiping their asses with Benjamin Franklin and fly with William McKinley. He is sick. For a park that has yet to create a new attraction that does not pretend shooting lasers or acid trip of Woozles, there is little satisfaction to sell a kidney or turn a trick just to get into place of crazy.

2. Pigs wheelchair

My mother has rheumatoid arthritis. She turns 60 next year. She deserves a fucking scooter or wheelchair automatically. I will not even quibble about the price. If $ 40 means that the woman can walk in the park, uninhibited and without pain, is money well spent. That is, if she can go to the park early enough to hang a chair or a scooter before the armies of lazy people are able to roll their fat asses out of bed.

But what Disneyland care? I saw them give their last scooter to a woman 400 pounds, that really have worked, because it was in line before an old man with a cane. Why they do not require a disability placard or ID card is beyond me. But if I see another family of 4 on scooters, lying their asses dimpled servants so they can upload faster than everyone on Indiana Jones, I'll throw them in the rivers of America and happily watch them drown.

3. The Tramway "Drivers"

"Welcome to Disneyland. We ask that you keep your hands and arms inside the tram at all times. This includes your toes and fingers. This includes your toenails and fingernails. This includes your lashes and nose hair . Please collapse all strollers. Please no children on your lap, unless they are under the age of 10. Disneyland is open until midnight tonight. While you're here you can see the new parade on Main Street.

Leaving the tram, please remember to take your belongings with you. If you lose a point when the tram is in motion, raise your hand and the driver will stop the trolley so that you can get your article. Leaving the tram, make sure the exit to your right and watch your head. Again, we would like to thank you for visiting Disneyland today. We hope you enjoy your stay with us today and if there is anything you need, just ask a person to park or to your needs at Disneyland City Hall ... "

4. The endless crowds

Mmm ... Aaahhh ... take a great big breath. * Deep breath * You know what that smell is? A lack of deodorant.

Between 50,000 to 80,000 people may enter the park. When the fire marshal takes a day off, maybe 100,000. Half of these people have no idea where they go or who they want to continue walking.

It is they who are the start and stop abruptly in the middle of trails to explore their card.

They a.

Live Work Space

Laws on rent increases on commercial zoning direct-work space in San Francisco?

I live in an artist live work space in San Francisco. I have the opportunity to negotiate a new lease with my landlord. The building where I live is zoned commercial so it is not subject to rent control, there is a maximum percentage of units that legally can be rented as a residence. Currently, the owner may change his whims and rent the neighborhood I live in so that gentrification is rapidly increasing rents due to again soon.

I wondered if signing a new lease to limit the amount that could increase the rent during the lease term. (IE If there could be some benefit to one month per month and sign for another year or two. I have lived here for several years and determined to stay as long as I can pay my rent.)

The law states that the landlord can not increase the rent at all for the duration of the lease. If you sign a lease for a year, the rent must remain the same throughout the term of the lease. If you are on a lease from month to month, the rent can go up at any time.
